The 2026 Olympic calendar includes 16 days of competitions and shows, with disciplines ranging from alpine skiing to figure skating, from biathlon to snowboarding.
The races will be distributed among various locations:
- Milan will host ice events such as figure skating, short track, and ice hockey. The opening ceremony, on February 6th, will take place at the San Siro Stadium, which is also celebrating its centenary.
- Cortina d’Ampezzo will be the hub of Alpine sports, such as women’s alpine skiing and curling, as well as hosting bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton competitions.
- The Tofane mountains, already featured in the 1956 Olympics, will welcome fans with a breathtaking panorama.
- Valtellina will see the debut of ski mountaineering as an Olympic discipline in Bormio and will host snowboarding and freestyle competitions in Livigno.
- Val di Fiemme will be the home of Nordic sports, such as ski jumping and cross-country skiing.
- The Tesero and Predazzo facilities are already renowned for hosting prestigious international events.
